Member recommendations for air filters.

The Amaircare is not too noisy. I have purchased two different filters from this co. The other one is Austin Air. On high the Austin is a bit noisy, but has three settings.

There is a great air purifiers that Quixtar have I had it ( I sold it because I moved to boston) they are great. NO Noise at all. they are the best . you can check it online at www.quixtar.com

My husband and I have used an Ecoquest “Fresh Air” Purifier for almost 2 years in our apartment. I’ve also used their Fresh Air to Go in my car and have packed it in my suit case and taken it on business trips for use in my hotel rooms. I love it. There are also units for individual rooms.
Take a look at this web site: http://www.tryfreshair.com/Air_Products/index_home.asp. It includes information on studies done by Kansas State University.

My wife and I have a "Living Air Classic" which we have had for about 3 years. It meets the requirements that you give and is adjustable so that it will handle the whole house or just one room (we have a two bedroom house). Between my smoking, two dogs, one cat, cooking odors and so on, we are really please with the results. You can probably get more info on-line at www.EcoQuest.com.

I have had a “Living Air” unit over the last 10 years and have been happy. The technology handles impurities by a couple methods. I was so impressed I carried the line and sold it myself for a while but discontinued it a few years ago.

LOVE the Heppa Filter! Check the box for filtering particles as small as 0.03 micrograms. Also has a carbon fiter for smells. Handles dust mites and pet dander and cigarette smoke, etc. etc. We love ours! My doctor recommended it. Got it at Target for about $120. It's not quiet on high, but on low it's barely noticeable.

Ecoquest, or U can search that name or Alpine on ebay, they have really good ones. They have smalller one's that are for smaller areas too.

I don't remember the exact brand name. I think it's a 5C Airstar. She only sells the one brand so that makes it easy!

I purchased my air purifier from Dr. Pepi's office. It isn't the most quiet machine, but it isn't obnoxious either. I sleep through it just fine, and I'm not a good sleeper. I keep it in the bed room, and when you walk into the bedroom you can feel the difference in the air. It just has a really clean, light, pure feel about it. I do notice that difference. I went with the Pepi model because she is super particular about everything relating to health. So I figured she'd done tons of research before she would start using a product, and that was good for me!! If you are interested, her number is 323-666-1088.

Look for an EcoQuest dealer in your area. They've got all sizes from around your neck for travel in stages up to in-duct and larger.
Just clean the unit as needed, there's no consumables to replace (which adds up over a very short time).
